Entertainment Entertainment Home The band started in the year1999. The founder members were Rintu and Salek (Bassist). Sanjiv was the first vocals and Tony (Black) was the guest drummer for our band. Rajiv then joined in as a permanent drummer and Rana as a guitarist. Later on after some months Rajiv and Rana decided to leave the band for some personal reasons. From there Turjo, who is still playing in Reborn joined in. But the main powerhouse i.e. the vocalist Ali joined in. He was basically introduced to the band through Ershad (Artcell). The final line up from there onwards was pretty much fixed till now. Ali (vocals), Rintu (guitarist), Chisti (guitarist), Salek (bass) and Turjo (drums). Future plan The one and only future plan is to release their first solo album at the moment. They have literally given up all the prospectus gigs and invitations just to concentrate on their upcoming compilation. Music patterns and idols When we came to idols almost all the band members had individual choices. But they quite agree on these common bands like Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Slayer, The Doors and so on. Basically they are driven by the rock to heavy metal pattern of music. Past memorable incidents Turjo said that their best incident from the bands perspective has to be their gig at the National Museum sometime in 2004. The reason being that the legendary guitarist Komol performed with Reborn on the stage after long break. In fact that was the return of him to the musical arena. They believe they were exceptionally fortunate and lucky to have performed with this Bangladeshi legendary guitarist. They also covered a song from Warfaze in that concert. Next album release date They are hopeful that the debut album should be released by this August or September of 2006. They are totally focused and are putting intense effort to meet their album release deadline. Speciality of the album This album comprises a lot of different feel and new verses of music, which have been displayed maintaining their original band music pattern and sound. They do not exactly want to disclose this at the moment and would like to keep it as a surprise (pleasant one of course) for the fans. What else do you guys do besides music? Besides music they are involved into daily life activities. To start with Ali (vocals) runs a business, Mintu is an entrepreneur, Turjo is a student (undergrads), Chisti is in the Newcastle law college (Dhanmondi) and Salek is doing his MBA. What type of music should Bangladesh produce for the betterment of our future generation and the music overall? They believe in the freedom of thoughts, choice, passion, and love. They are least interested in performing songs that they are not interested in or do not feel the passion in it. They believe everyone should only do or perform those songs, which they personally like or admire from deep inside their soul. How do you start composing your song? Do you start with lyrics or with melody first? In reply to this particular question they said that usually they do not follow any specific manner or method of composing songs. But for their upcoming debut solo album they have made sure that all their lyrics have seen written down before they started composing any other parts of the song. This clearly implies their significance towards their lyrics in the upcoming album. Where would you like to see Bangladesh five years from now? They expect to see Bangladesh in a way better position than they are now. But they believe that the technological and musical instrument unavailability to some extent could hamper the pace of development to a large extent. How did you come up with the name? The name basically portraits the career of all the band members to some extent. Meaning, almost all the members are born again in this band i.e. they were left out of had quit from a band they were into. Then after a break all of them had come from different places and joined together to do some art in terms of music. In other words they were all reborn in the music world. How much of help do you (the underground bands) get from the already established bands and the popular superstars? All the members said together…. unlimited and to a large large extent. They believe whenever they feel downhearted and left out the senior or established bands or artists are always there to back them up.
