bracNet is raising funds through selling these Celebrity Memorabilia for 3 charities: The Liberation War Museum, Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP), and Acid Survivors' Foundation.
Over 50 celebrities have donated more than 150 items that are of significance to them or that people can identify them with.
The items have been whatever the celebrities donated at their own will. bracNet management is not responsible for the quality or condition of any item.
The items have been priced by an independent panel of 4 people:
N. R. Khan (Tania Karim, N.R.Khan & Associates, Partner and Architect), Kamal Quadir (CEO, CellBazaar), Monowara Begum Mimi (Shop Manager, Aarong, Dhanmondi) and Syed Iftekhar Hussain, (Senior Manager, Material Control, Aarong).
The ending gala of the Celebrity Memorabilia Sale was held at the Radisson Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka, on 31st March, 2007.
The gala was a huge success with a total of Taka 6 lac being collected for donation to the three charities.
Taka 1 lac had already been collected from the portal sale while Transcom donated Taka 1 lac as matching fund. Taka 3 lac, 22 thousand 300 hundred was collected from the auction itself. Architect N. R. Khan donated Taka 20,000 and the emcee of the gala Mr. Abdur Noor Tushar himself donated his honorarium to the cause.
The Taka 6 lac was divided equally between the three institutions and 3 cheques of Taka 2 lac each were handed over to the institutes on the occasion.
The memorabilia sale will continue through the Portal and further money raised from the continuing sale will be donated to the charities from time to time.

You have to make a cash payment at the bracNet office in order to pick up the item you want to purchase. No other form of payment will be accepted.

Please note that you have to make payments for your item by 5p.m of the next business day, after making the reservation. Otherwise, bracNet reserves the right to sale the item to another party.
